Haldex Tuning

5th generation Haldex AWD software update finally available!

More grip with a more sensible drive ratio & faster AWD engagement, all safely and reliably.

In its standard state, the 5th generation Haldex unit only distributes 30% of the power to the rear wheels during acceleration, even though it could distribute up to 50%.

However, a 50/50 ratio is achieved only in rare situations, and for the most part, power distribution is 70/30 between the front and rear axles.

Our software enables a near-perfect 50-50 power distribution between the front and rear axles, significantly improving performance in all driving conditions. All of this is achieved while maintaining the factory safety settings of the Haldex system.

Tuned vehicles benefit even more from this, as the greater the power, the more force is applied to the front axle, which can lead to loss of traction, especially during launches.

For example,

In a standard 5th generation Haldex AWD-equipped MK7 R Golf, only about 90 horsepower out of 300 is distributed to the rear axle.

-> After the Haldex software update, up to 150 horsepower out of 300 is distributed to the rear axle.

  • Less understeer - Better turning, less pushing
  • Faster AWD engagement - More grip
  • Improved acceleration & drivability
  • Completely safe solution - Factory-level safety features are retained
  • Mandatory update for cars equipped with 5th generation Haldex AWD.
