APEX BMW Stud and Nut Kit
The new and improved APEX BMW stud kits are the perfect upgrade for use with performance wheels. The studs are designed with an improved shoulder design that reduces stress points and prevents stud breakage – a problem common with many traditional solutions.
The studs feature a 5mm hex socket for easy installation. The new model is also available with a bullet nose tip, which makes wheel alignment easier, especially for track driving.
With this kit, you can convert your BMW's original wheel bolts into wheel studs, making wheel installation safer, faster, and easier. The kit can be used with or without spacers, and installation is simple.

Benefits of a stud kit
It's hard to find a BMW track car that hasn't already converted to wheel studs. The reason is simple: they are stronger, safer, and significantly speed up tire changes.
Even on a regular street car, wheel studs make wheel installation easier. With wheel bolts, the wheel, spacer, and hub must be perfectly aligned before the bolt can be threaded in. With wheel studs, the wheel can simply be slid into place and tightened with nuts.
Without wheel studs, the wheel can easily fall off the hub during installation. Wheel studs keep the wheel in the correct position and greatly facilitate installation.
Extended wheel studs also allow the use of different spacers without additional modifications:

When using wheel bolts with spacers, different length bolts are always needed depending on the spacer thickness. With a stud kit, one solution works in all situations.
Since wheel studs remain permanently in place, they also reduce wear on the hub threads. When changing wheels, only the nuts are removed, as in many other cars.
