CTS BOSS800 Hybrid Turbocharger for Audi / Porsche EA839 3.0T Engines

CTS introduces the new BOSS800 hybrid turbocharger for Audi and Porsche vehicles based on the EA839 3.0T engine platform . It is a direct OEM-style upgrade that significantly increases airflow while maintaining original fit, drivability and daily usability.

This hybrid supercharger is optimized for higher boost efficiency and better high-end power without compromising low-end responsiveness. The updated compressor and turbine design allows for use on a wide range of fuels – from regular gasoline to ethanol blends.

All test results presented were run on the same vehicle and the same equipment , and only the ethanol content of the fuel was changed between tests.

Performance and drivability

Power gains scale consistently with increasing ethanol content. The supercharger delivers strong mid-range torque and maintains power smoothly all the way to redline. The boost response is smooth and controlled, making this supercharger an excellent choice for both street and track configurations.

The supercharger pulls efficiently throughout the entire rev range and offers additional potential when the fuel system is upgraded accordingly.

A significant advantage is that it is a completely new turboharger unit that does not require a core and is compatible with many existing Stage 3 software .

1/4 mile time: 10.29 sec @ 140 mph

Run 1 – 92 octane gasoline

• 561 hp / ~532 lb-ft

Run 2 – E50 (92 + pump E)

• 640 hp / ~643 lb-ft

Run 3 – E55 (92 + pump E)

• 658 hp / ~654 lb-ft

Run 4 – E60 (92 + pump E)

• 671 hp / ~663 lb-ft

Note: Results were achieved on a vehicle with a full bolt-on setup and upgraded fuel system (RS6 injectors, HPFP and LPFP upgrades, 4 BAR MAP sensors) and Logic Street Performance Stage 3 programming. Actual results may vary depending on vehicle and configuration.
