Darkside GTD2872VRZK Billet Ball Bearing Hybrid Turbocharger (VZK Housing)

Completely rebuilt Garrett turbocharger utilizing the latest generation GTD VNT system, ball bearing construction, custom billet compressor wheel, updated turbine wheel and electronic actuator.
The new GTD2872VRZK (Electronic) is one of the most powerful and versatile options for turbocharger upgrades for 2.7 and 3.0 TDI engines. It also replaces the now discontinued GTB2566VZK turbo.
Important note about actuators
VZK turbochargers use two different electronic actuators, and it is not possible to know with certainty in advance which version is used based on the vehicle.
If the supplied actuator does not work directly, you can transfer the black electronics box from your original turbo directly to the new turbo.
Performance and technical advantages
While the GTD2872 sounds like a significant upgrade over the GTB2260VZK unit, the new generation (Gen 5) GTD VNT system, ball bearing and modern wheel profiles ensure:

This is a direct replacement for the original Garrett GTB2260VZK turbocharger.

Note: The direction of rotation of the turbine housing cannot be changed after the turbo has been built and installed.

Deposit / Exchange turbo
Darkside no longer offers a conversion service for the old turbo into a GTB2872VRK package.
However, a good condition GTB2260VZK turbo will be refunded £250 + VAT if returned within 30 days of purchase.
