YOUR CAR DESERVES THE BEST
Feed your 2.0T TSI GTI, Jetta, GLI, CC, or A3 cold air with this direct-fit, high-flow cold air intake system. This intake system features an oversized intake tube that mates to the OE mass airflow (MAF) sensor. The MAF sensor receives high-velocity air directly from the 5” bellmouth. The high-flow bellmouth is neatly housed in a heat shield that separates the air filter from hot engine bay air, allowing the turbo to receive cold air directly from the front of the car.
OEM INSTALLATION
This intake package includes all the necessary piping and couplers to install the intake system from the turbo to the MAF sensor and into the heat shield. The heat shield mounts using OE rubber grommets, ensuring easy serviceability and a reliable installation without rubbing or chafing any other factory parts.
HIGH-FLOW VELOCITY STACK
The intake uses a high-flow bellmouth behind the air filter to deliver the greatest amount of air. The bellmouth design increases the airflow velocity to the MAF sensor and smoothly draws cold air from all directions into the filter. The bellmouth is solidly mounted to the heat shield and acts as a neat pass-through that gives a solid mount for the air filter and turbo intake pipe. This prevents the intake pipe from moving and damaging itself, unlike other intake systems on the market where the filter is simply clamped to the end of a tube or around the MAF. Additionally, the bellmouth opening allows for a large surface area filter that will handle any horsepower goal. This same filter and bellmouth have been tested to over 500 horsepower!
HEAT BLOCKING HEAT SHIELD
The IE heat shield is designed to be a thermal barrier, blocking radiant heat from the engine bay. Only cold air from the front of the car is drawn into the filter from the radiator support opening, keeping intake air temperatures as low as possible. This allows for the use of the factory mounting location without having the filter positioned under the car where it could be exposed to engine-damaging road debris or fluids.
DO YOU NEED A SAI KIT?
The MK5/MK6 2.0T TSI engine comes with two different engine codes. CBFA-coded engines are equipped with a factory Secondary Air Injection (SAI) pump that is plumbed into the factory airbox. These engines will require a small breather filter for this SAI line when installing an aftermarket intake system. CCTA-coded engines do not include this SAI pump, so they do not require a filter. Please identify your engine code using the images below and add the SAI filter kit to your order if necessary.

EASY INSTALLATION
Installation is quick and easy, requiring nothing more than basic tools. For most enthusiasts, installation takes about an hour.
