Spool Wireless Ethanol Analyzer Kit

The Spool Wireless Ethanol Analyzer Kit is a cost-effective and reliable solution for monitoring fuel ethanol content and temperature. Using the included smartphone app, the analyzer, which connects to a GM ethanol sensor, displays the ethanol percentage and the temperature of the fuel in the tank in degrees Fahrenheit.

The analyzer module utilizes Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology, which consumes very little smartphone battery and does not interfere with the phone’s standard Bluetooth functions or connections.

Why do you need an ethanol content monitoring system?

According to the latest ASTM guidelines, the ethanol content of fuel sold as E85 can vary between 51% and 85%. This means that E85 purchased at a gas station could actually be, for example, E55 fuel, which contains only 55% ethanol.

This variation poses a significant risk to enthusiasts whose vehicles use performance-optimized E85 engine calibrations. If the engine calibration is designed for a higher ethanol content than what is actually being used, it can result in engine damage. Knowing the actual ethanol content of your fuel helps you avoid damage caused by incorrect fuel mixtures.

Ethanol Sensor App

The Spool Ethanol Analyzer app is completely free and includes an ethanol blend calculator, which allows you to calculate your desired fuel mixture accurately.

• Automatic monitoring: when the analyzer is installed, the app automatically reads the ethanol content of the fuel in the tank.

• Ethanol blend calculator: helps you calculate the desired fuel mixture.

• Standalone use: the app can be downloaded and used even without an analyzer to estimate and calculate fuel mixtures.

10-Micron Filter Unit

Spool’s performance-oriented 10-micron stainless steel inline filter features an aluminum filter housing and a high-quality, washable stainless steel filter mesh.

The filter is fully compatible with E85 fuel and has a filtration rating of 10 microns. The unit has a flow capacity of up to 6 GPM (approximately 22.7 liters per minute), which far exceeds the requirements of current engine platforms.
