Together with a GM ethanol sensor and a free smartphone app, the system displays the ethanol percentage of the fuel in the tank and the fuel temperature in Fahrenheit in real time.

The analyzer module utilizes the latest Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE) technology, which minimizes smartphone battery consumption while keeping the phone's standard Bluetooth functions and connections available for normal use.

Why do you need an ethanol content monitoring system?

According to ASTM standards, the ethanol content of E85 fuel can vary between 51% and 85%. This means that fuel pumped at a gas station labeled as E85 may in reality be, for example, E55 fuel, which contains only 55% ethanol.

This variation can cause serious problems for enthusiasts whose cars use performance-optimized E85 engine calibrations. If the engine calibration requires a higher ethanol content than the fuel actually contains, it can lead to engine damage.

When you know the exact ethanol content of the fuel in your tank, you can protect your engine and ensure optimal performance.
