Catch Can Kit PCV for GM LS2 / LS3 / LS7 Engine Fluid Lock Radium Engineering
Overview
Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. Each kit includes everything needed for a complete installation.
The catch can is installed inline with the PCV system to remove oil and water condensation from crankcase gases before they enter the intake manifold. The closed-loop design also prevents unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.
Features
- Effectively raises octane and improves engine performance with cleaner inlet air
- Prevents oil buildup in the intake, intercooler system, throttle body, and intake manifold
- Excessive oil collection can indicate engine damage
- Lowers hydrocarbon emissions
- Capacity: 7 fluid ounces

Description
The anodized aluminum mounting bracket attaches to the front right-hand side of the cylinder head.
Beginning with the 2004 Gen IV LS engines, General Motors replaced the traditional PCV valve with a 2.5 mm fixed orifice. While this reduced manufacturing costs, a conventional PCV valve helps maintain negative crankcase pressure, prevents boost pressure from entering the crankcase, and protects against crankcase ignition during a backfire.
The PCV catch can improves the Gen IV LS crankcase ventilation system by installing inline between the PCV system and the intake manifold.
During idle, steady-state cruising, and deceleration, metered vacuum draws crankcase gases through the catch can, preventing oil vapor, unburned fuel, and sludge from entering the intake manifold after high-load driving.
Because the factory 2.5 mm orifice is restrictive, a replacement baffled oil cap is included to improve crankcase ventilation and capture more blow-by.
