Overview

Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

The kit mounts using factory mounting points and integrates seamlessly with surrounding engine components.

The closed-loop system does not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions and track legal. It removes oil and sludge from the crankcase ventilation gases before they are routed back into the engine for combustion. The system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for improved performance while preventing unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.

The integrated dipstick allows for easy inspection of collected fluid, and no cutting, drilling, or permanent vehicle modifications are required.

Description

The CCV catch can mounts to two factory holes on the left-hand side of the unibody near the firewall. It is specifically designed to clear the windshield wiper motor on right-hand drive vehicles and the brake master cylinders on left-hand drive vehicles.

To retain factory functionality, the catch can installs inline between the crankcase ventilation (CCV) port and the intake pipe.

During low engine loads, the system operates under atmospheric pressure. Under high engine loads (WOT), crankcase gases flow into the intake system, which can lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the intake piping and intercooler. This contamination reduces intercooler thermal efficiency and can decrease engine performance.

The CCV catch can captures these contaminants before they reach the intake system, promoting cleaner, filtered air and improved engine efficiency.
