Dual Catch Can Kit CCV Fluid Lock Radium Engineering for Chevrolet Corvette LT1 2014-2019

Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. These kits include everything needed for a complete installation.

The catch can draws out oil and water condensation from the crankcase gases that would otherwise be drawn into the intake manifold. Furthermore, the closed system prevents unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.

Description

The anodized aluminum catch can bracket mounts near the front left-hand side of the engine. A polished billet aluminum plate secures to three OEM grounding points. Because it is manufactured from aluminum, it conducts electricity. The large anodized dual catch can bracket mounts directly to the ground plate.

The dual CCV (Crankcase Ventilation) catch can kit retains factory functionality and is compatible with both wet sump and dry sump LT1 engines.

For wet sump engines, each valve cover vents to the intake through its respective catch can.

For dry sump engines, the left-hand valve cover vents to the intake through its respective catch can. The right-hand valve cover vents through the dry sump system before passing through its respective catch can.

At low engine loads, these catch cans experience atmospheric pressure. Under high engine load (wide open throttle), the vents experience high crankcase flow. Without a catch can, this can lead to oil and sludge accumulating in the air intake pipe.
