Important Information

Installation of a DPF Delete Downpipe requires a custom ECU calibration to remove DPF-related fault codes and prevent engine warning lights.

The DPF Delete Downpipe is generally supplied with a lambda sensor port and, on some models, an exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor port. On most applications, the pre-turbo EGT sensor is located in the turbocharger exhaust manifold. The remaining EGT and pressure sensors are typically no longer required once the DPF has been removed.

Leaving unused sensors installed in the downpipe may eventually lead to sensor failure, ECU fault codes, or an illuminated check engine light. With the correct ECU calibration, these sensors can be disabled and removed from the vehicle. If the ECU software does not disable these functions, the sensors should remain electrically connected and be securely fastened out of the way.

Legal Notice

Removal of the diesel particulate filter may be prohibited for vehicles used on public roads, depending on local laws and regulations. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the vehicle complies with all applicable emissions and road-use requirements in their country.
