FMIC.Pro valve-controlled catback exhaust system – BMW M2 Competition F87 3.0T S55 2018–2021

The FMIC.Pro catback exhaust system is designed to improve exhaust flow and produce a distinctly sportier soundscape.

The system's 70 mm (2.75”) pipe diameter and muffler design produce a deeper and fuller sound under load. At the same time, good driving comfort is maintained during normal driving, especially when the exhaust valves are closed.

The system is made entirely of SS304 stainless steel, which resists corrosion and high operating temperatures. CNC-bent pipes ensure uniform geometry and precise fitment to the vehicle's original mounting points. Installation is straightforward and follows the plug & play principle.

All weld seams are TIG welded under argon gas protection. This produces neat, finished, and completely airtight joints, which are essential for the long-term durability of the system.

CNC-machined 10 mm thick flanges are used at the connection points. They increase structural rigidity, reduce the risk of deformation caused by thermal cycles, and ensure even compression pressure on the gasket across the entire connection surface.

The system features integrated electronic exhaust valves that control the flow of exhaust gases at the rear:

• Valves closed: Exhaust gases pass through the entire muffler system, producing a subdued soundscape and good driving comfort for daily driving.

• Valves open: Exhaust gases bypass the rear muffler, making the sound louder, more direct, and sportier.

Thanks to this solution, the driver can adjust the exhaust system's soundscape according to driving conditions and personal preferences. The exhaust valves are controlled by the included control unit and two remote controls, which allow the operating mode to be switched instantly.

To achieve the best performance potential, it is recommended to use the FMIC.Pro catback system in conjunction with a better-flowing downpipe. This is particularly recommended for turbocharged engines.
