KW V3 - Height-Adjustable Coilover Kit
Unlimited individuality in terms of performance and driving comfort
With the KW V3 coilover kit, the damping forces of the shock absorbers can be adjusted independently for both rebound and compression.
KW engineers have developed a sporty yet balanced basic setup for the coilover kit, as they do for all KW coilover kits. To ensure optimal chassis performance, the coilovers are tested on KW's 7-post test rig and in extensive test drives on roads and motorways, as well as on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.
For years, the KW V3 has been one of the most respected coilover kits on the aftermarket and a benchmark for coilover suspensions. Its excellent damping technology, high-quality finish, and long lifespan have convinced sports car drivers, tuning enthusiasts, and small and large series manufacturers such as Alpina, MTM, Manthey, and Oettinger, as well as many other leading players in the international automotive industry.
Advanced technology derived from motorsport
The KW V3 offers significantly more than just a sporty lowering and excellent handling on various road conditions. Its design leverages KW's decades of experience as a chassis manufacturer and supplier to international motorsport.
KW chassis technology has been used in events such as ADAC GT Masters, FIA GT1, FIA GT3, International GT Open, WTCC, VLN, and the legendary ADAC Zurich 24h race at the Nürburgring.
Similar to the KW Racing series coilovers, the compression and rebound damping of the KW V3 can also be adjusted independently. This allows for precise individual adjustment of the chassis according to the driver, car, and driving style. This adjustability is appreciated by sports car manufacturers, tuning professionals, and demanding drivers worldwide.
Optimal chassis tuning for enhanced driving pleasure
If your car's performance has already been upgraded with other modifications, the KW V3 perfectly complements the overall package. The patented KW valve technology allows for separate adjustment of compression and rebound, so the chassis performance can be precisely adapted to the car's intended use and the driver's preferences.
KW's adjustable base valve allows for the adjustment of the low-speed compression range with 12 precise clicks.
No special tools are required for adjustment, as the patented compression adjuster is located at the bottom of the stainless steel shock absorber. The 12-stage compression adjustment allows for fine-tuning of body roll and movements without changing the spring rate. This way, the suspension can be kept optimally compatible with rebound.
With the individually adjustable rebound of the KW V3, the car's handling and driving comfort can be directly influenced. The precise click adjustment allows for fine-tuning of the chassis for various applications.
Depending on the vehicle, the rebound adjustment valves located at the top of KW's twin-tube shock absorbers are adjusted either with an integrated adjustment wheel or with a separate rotary adjuster included in the delivery.
Increasing the rebound damping force can reduce body movements and improve the car's stability in fast cornering. For example, if the car is fitted with larger wheels and tires approved by the car manufacturer, the KW V3 allows the chassis performance to be adjusted to suit the new tire and wheel size.
High quality, individual adjustability, and long lifespan
The KW V3 coilover kit, as well as each individual shock absorber, undergoes extensive quality tests during production to meet KW's high quality standards.
KW's goal is to offer an exceptionally long lifespan for its products. When the KW V3 is installed by a KW authorized specialist dealer, the product can be granted a warranty of up to five years.
KW shock absorbers made of stainless steel with inox-line technology offer excellent corrosion resistance and a long lifespan.
The continuously adjustable height remains functional even after years of use, thanks to KW's dirt-repellent trapezoidal thread and composite adjusting collar. Due to the stepless height adjustment, the car's lowering can be precisely determined to the desired level, allowing for optimization of both handling and appearance.
