Overview

An oil catch can is essential to protect the engine from elevated levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can lead to degraded performance.

Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

Platform Specifics

The catch cans are strategically located for compatibility with both Right Hand Drive (RHD) and Left Hand Drive (LHD) vehicles. Minor brake line clearance is required on RHD installations.

The kits mount using factory bosses and holes on the chassis, requiring no cutting, drilling, or permanent vehicle modifications.

The PCV and CCV catch can kits are completely independent of each other and can be purchased individually or together. They do not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making them emissions and track legal. The closed-loop design routes filtered air back into the engine to be burned while promoting negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance and preventing unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.

20-0911-FL Catch Can Kit, PCV, 2022+ BRZ/GR86, Fluid Lock

The 20-0911-FL PCV kit mounts on the right-hand side of the engine bay.

This catch can runs inline with the 5/8-inch PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve. When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV check valve closes and no flow occurs through the hose. During idle, steady-state cruising, and deceleration, the PCV hose experiences metered vacuum, preventing unwanted crankcase vapors, unburned fuel, and oil sludge from entering the intake manifold after high-load driving.
