Terms for product returns:

  • You must return the ordered products within 14 days of receiving
  • The products must be unused and without damages
  • Commission fee for handling returns is 21,90€
  • For product returns, the customer is in charge of the return costs. Only door to door service (Express)
  • Shipping costs are not refunded

For international orders sales are final and non-refundable. Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled or returned. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Pre order / made-to-order products

If the product you have ordered is a pre order or made-to-order item, it is not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal or return under consumer protection laws, as the product is manufactured or sourced specifically based on the customer’s individual order.

If you wish to cancel your order before receiving the product, we will refund 50% of the total order amount.

All of the above products are manufactured or sourced individually based on the customer’s order, and therefore cannot be returned after delivery, unless the product has a manufacturing or material defect.

In the event of such a defect, the standard liability for defects as provided by consumer protection legislation shall apply.

The BAR-TEK® Oil Catch Can Kit includes a PCV upgrade and is suitable for all third-generation 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines, as used in models like the Golf 7 GTI, Audi A3, Audi TT, and many others.

This is one of the most effective ways to reduce carbon buildup on intake valves. Heavily carbonized intake valves can, in the worst case, lead to valve failure and severe engine damage.

Disadvantages caused by carbonization

  • Uneven idling
  • Reduced power

Carbonization of intake valves and intake ports is caused by factors such as:

  • LongLife service interval engine oils
  • Low-quality fuel
  • Short driving distances

Carbonization cannot be completely prevented, but it can be significantly slowed down. Therefore, we recommend installing the BAR-TEK® Oil Catch Can Kit.

  • PCV adapter plate for crankcase ventilation
  • Oil Catch Can (140 × 80 mm), now also with an oil dipstick
  • Mounting bracket for the Oil Catch Can
  • 1 × 1 m Dash 10 hose with nylon braid (highly oil-resistant)
  • 2 × 45° Dash 10 fittings
  • 2 × straight Dash 10 fittings
  • 2 × 90° NPT–Dash 10 adapters for the Oil Catch Can
  • Mounting kit (reservoir ventilation, banjo fitting, and necessary small parts)

We also recommend ordering a new PCV gasket at the same time.

Notes on installation

In some vehicles, the fuel tank ventilation valve has a larger hose diameter. In this case, a hose reducer piece is required.

For vehicles where the windshield washer fluid reservoir is located on the left side of the engine, an additional filler neck is required to replace the upper part of the washer fluid reservoir. This applies particularly to early Golf R and Audi S3 models. The filler neck can be found in the accessories.

Use in cold conditions

The Oil Catch Can Kit is primarily designed for warm climates.

In winter, when the temperature drops below 0 °C, condensation forming in the system can freeze. This can increase crankcase pressure and, in the worst case, cause engine damage.

We recommend during winter:

  • checking the Oil Catch Can Kit more frequently than usual
  • or completely removing the system for the coldest winter period.
