Important Installation Instructions

The exhaust system can be installed only with the lower section of the original BMW 35i rear bumper or a compatible aftermarket part that has openings for two exhaust outlets (left and right).

Installation with the original 220i rear diffuser, which has an exhaust outlet on only one side, is not possible.

NOTE: In many models equipped with an OPF particulate filter, the EGO-X system adapter must be welded into place during installation.

The EGO-X exhaust system is equipped with an electronically controlled exhaust valve, which allows the sound of the exhaust system to be controlled.

ECE Type-Approved Version

The exhaust system equipped with valves has ECE type approval, and according to the manufacturer, it can be used in general road traffic without separate registration, in accordance with the conditions of approval.

The ECE-approved system does not fall under the so-called ban on the use of exhaust valves, as its control automatically fulfills the operating conditions set for the system.
