The original air cleaner housing on the VW MK8 GTI, Golf R and Audi S3 is highly restrictive, reducing both power and engine noise. We have designed the iE MK8 Air Intake System with true motorsport features to maximise air intake and flow rate. The result is more power and endlessly addictive throttle and turbo sounds that unleash the joy of driving.

STYLE POINTS

Complete the look with an optional, high-gloss carbon fiber cover that covers the entire length of the air intake. This simple upgrade completely transforms the look of the engine bay, giving it a luxurious, showroom-quality appearance.

RAM AIR

Protect your performance from the heat with an air intake with an aluminum alloy heat shield. It spans the entire width of the front and isolates hot air from the engine bay. High-pressure outside air is directed from the front grille directly to the integrated velocity stack and air filter.

NATURE'S CALL

Throttle growls, turbo whistles, engine growls – call them what you will. The high-flow bellmouth design and unobstructed construction unleash the engine sound with unique, satisfying tones and turbo sounds. Turn on the radio and press the accelerator pedal to the floor – you’re leading your own addictive engine symphony.

UNIFORM FLOW

This convertible design is ready for future turbo upgrades. It's a one-piece turbo inlet, so you don't need silicone connectors. That means fewer connections and less power-sapping turbulence. With the included turbo adapter, you get excellent flow without having to buy another inlet to complete your air intake kit. Installation is easy - just three clamps.

HIGH FLOW RATE

The built-in velocity stack bellmouth shape, familiar from professional motorsports, is designed to produce massive volumes of air, which flow efficiently from the 5" air filter surface area into the intake manifold. This true racing design solution is made for maximum airflow, with minimal drag and turbulence.
