Dual Catch Can Kit for Nissan 370Z Fluid Lock Radium Engineering
Compatibility
- Nissan 370Z (VQ37VHR Engine)
Overview
Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.
The kits mount using factory mounting points and integrate seamlessly with surrounding engine components.
The closed-loop system does not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions and track legal. It removes oil and sludge from the PCV gases before they are routed back into the engine for combustion. The system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for improved performance while preventing unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.
The integrated dipstick allows for easy inspection of collected fluid. No cutting, drilling, or permanent vehicle modifications are required.
Description
To maintain the factory symmetry of the VQ37VHR engine bay, the catch cans mount to both the right-hand and left-hand strut towers using factory mounting locations.
The two catch cans install inline with the factory twin PCV valves integrated into the valve covers, preserving full OEM functionality.
When the intake manifold pressure is close to or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV check valves close and no flow occurs through the hoses. During idle, steady-state cruising, and deceleration, the PCV system experiences metered vacuum, preventing unwanted crankcase vapors, unburned fuel, and oil sludge from entering the intake manifold after high-load driving.
Because Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, no inline check valve is required, allowing a direct connection to the intake manifold.
