Terms for product returns:

• You must return the ordered products within 14 days of receiving
• The products must be unused and without damages
• Commission fee for handling returns is 21,90€
• For product returns, the customer is in charge of the return costs. Only door to door service (Express)
• Shipping costs are not refunded

For international orders sales are final and non-refundable. Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled or returned. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

If the product you have ordered is a pre order or made-to-order item, it is not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal or return under consumer protection laws, as the product is manufactured or sourced specifically based on the customer’s individual order.

If you wish to cancel your order before receiving the product, we will refund 50% of the total order amount.

The Spool Performance FX-170 is a high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) performance upgrade for Mercedes-AMG M178 engines. This solution is designed for high-power configurations of the AMG GT model range, where the standard fuel system acts as a limitation in tuning.

What is the FX-170?

The FX-170 is an upgraded high-pressure pump with a larger cylinder bore than standard. This provides approximately +50% greater fuel flow.

• +50% flow compared to stock
• Full E85 compatibility
• Plug & Play installation: no cutting or wire modification
• Allows for increased fuel delivery at higher power levels

The added capacity allows for:

• Higher ethanol blends
• Larger turbochargers
• Significantly higher power levels

Why is an upgrade necessary?

The M178 engine's standard HPFP limits performance in tuning:

• Insufficient fuel delivery for high power
• Limited ethanol usage

The FX-170:

• Significantly increases fuel system capacity
• Enables more efficient and safer tuning
• Supports demanding turbo and flex fuel setups

Software Requirements

The FX-170 requires software modifications:

• Calibration must be performed before use
• Without adjustment, use may cause damage and void the warranty

• Provides calibration data to the tuner
• Assists in connecting with experienced tuners

Note: Spool does not offer ready-made custom tunes

Important note: LPFP

The low-pressure fuel system is critical:

• Insufficient LPFP can damage HPFP and injectors
• HPFP lubrication relies on fuel flow
• Lack of fuel → wear and failure

Recommendation: ensure adequate low-pressure side upgrade
