Spool Wireless Ethanol Analyzer – wireless ethanol content monitoring system

The Spool wireless Ethanol Analyzer kit is a cost-effective and reliable solution for monitoring fuel ethanol content and temperature. Using the included smartphone app, the GM ethanol sensor connected to the analyzer displays the ethanol percentage and fuel temperature in degrees Fahrenheit for the fuel in your tank.

The analyzer module utilizes Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology, which consumes very little smartphone battery and does not interfere with the phone’s standard Bluetooth functions or connections.

Why do you need an ethanol monitoring system?

According to ASTM standards, the ethanol content of fuel sold as E85 can vary between 51% and 85%. This means that fuel pumped at a gas station labeled as E85 might actually be, for example, E55 fuel, which contains only 55% ethanol.

This uncertainty is a major concern for enthusiasts whose cars use performance-optimized E85 engine calibrations.

If your engine calibration is set for higher ethanol content fuel but you are actually using fuel with a lower ethanol content, engine damage can occur. By knowing the actual ethanol content of the E85 fuel you have pumped, you can avoid damage caused by incorrect fuel mixtures.

Ethanol sensor app

Unlike competitors' applications, Spool’s Ethanol Analyzer apps are completely free. They feature an ethanol blend calculator that allows you to calculate your desired fuel mixture accurately every time.

When using the Ethanol Analyzer kit, the app automatically populates the required fuel ethanol content in the calculations based on real-time data from the fuel in your tank.

The app can be downloaded and used even without the analyzer kit, allowing you to estimate fuel mixtures and calculate required blend ratios yourself.

Upgraded fuel lines

The Ethanol Analyzer kit includes upgraded fuel lines with 6AN fittings, featuring a PTFE inner tube, a black nylon outer braid, and a stainless steel reinforced core. The hoses are compatible with ethanol fuels and are rated to withstand very high pressures.

Two hose options are available for the kit:

1. HPFP to fuel tank (long hose)

2. HPFP to stock fuel line (short hose)

All hoses feature the manufacturer's own anodized aluminum PTFE fuel hose fittings.

The hoses are designed to fit the factory high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) or Spool FX-150 and FX-180 HPFPs.
