Spool Wireless Ethanol Analyzer - wireless ethanol content measurement system
Spool's wireless Ethanol Analyzer series is a cost-effective and reliable solution for monitoring the ethanol content and temperature of fuel. Using the included smartphone app, the analyzer connected to the GM ethanol sensor displays the ethanol content of the fuel in the fuel tank as a percentage and the fuel temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.
The analyzer module utilizes the latest Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology, which minimizes smartphone battery consumption. At the same time, the phone's standard Bluetooth functions and connections remain normally available.
Why do you need an ethanol content measurement system?
According to the latest ASTM standards, the ethanol content of fuel sold with an E85 rating can vary between 51 and 85 percent. This means that fuel pumped at a gas station under the E85 designation may actually be E55 fuel, which contains only 55% ethanol.
This uncertainty is a significant risk for enthusiasts whose cars use engine programming optimized for high-performance E85 fuel.
If the engine programming is designed for fuel with a higher ethanol content but a lower ethanol content fuel is actually used, the result can be engine damage.
When you know the actual ethanol content of the E85 fuel you pumped, you can avoid damage caused by the wrong fuel mixture.
Ethanol sensor application
Unlike those of competitors, Spool's Ethanol Analyzer apps are completely free. The app also includes an ethanol mixture calculator, which allows you to accurately calculate your desired fuel mixture every time.
When using the Ethanol Analyzer series, the app automatically retrieves the ethanol content of the fuel in the tank required for the calculations.
The app can be downloaded and used without the analyzer series, allowing you to manually estimate and calculate fuel mixtures.
Updated fuel lines
The Ethanol Analyzer series includes updated fuel lines with 6AN fittings, featuring a PTFE inner tube, black nylon coating, and braided stainless steel reinforcement. The lines are fully suitable for ethanol fuels and withstand extremely high pressures.
Two hose options are available for the series:
-
HPFP fuel tank (long hose) – from the high-pressure fuel pump to the fuel tank.
-
HPFP original fuel line (short hose) – from the high-pressure fuel pump to the original fuel line.
All hoses use the manufacturer's own anodized aluminum PTFE fuel line fittings.
The hoses are designed to fit either the original high-pressure fuel pump or the Spool FX-150 and FX-180 HPFP pumps.
Lifetime warranty
Like all Spool products, the Ethanol Content Analyzer is covered by Spool's lifetime warranty. Spool stands behind the quality of its products and the promises made about them.
