Wavetrac Limited Slip Differential for BMW M3 E46 / E92, M5 E60, M6 E63
(NEW: uses original output shafts / flanges)
Simply put, Wavetrac is the only gear-based limited-slip differential (LSD) on the market that doesn't lose traction when one drive axle becomes unloaded or loses load. Such situations occur, for example, in aggressive driving, on track corners, over uneven surfaces, or on extremely slippery surfaces – more often than many might think.
Traditional gear-type LSDs (OEM, Quaife, Torsen, etc.) require load on both axles to function correctly. For example, when the inner wheel unloads over a curb on the track, power is not efficiently transferred to the outer, better-gripping wheel. The result is uneven power delivery and interruptions in power precisely when it's needed most.
Wavetrac solves this problem with its patented cam mechanism, which creates the necessary internal load even when one axle unloads. This allows power to still be directed to the gripping wheel, improving traction continuity, drivability, and overall speed, especially in corners.

Driving Experience: "Smooth is Fast"
Wavetrac is specifically designed for high-performance street cars that are also used on the track. It operates unnoticed in normal driving and is fully compatible with stability and traction control systems.
On the track and in sporty driving, it provides continuous traction to both wheels without the understeer or "push" caused by traditional plate-type differentials. The result is more predictable behavior and better control.
One of Wavetrac's most significant advantages is its smooth and controlled power transfer at the limit of grip. When driving at the limit in a corner or adjusting the car's line with the throttle, Wavetrac provides a soft and predictable response – precisely when it matters most.
